Montreal Trudeau Airport (YUL) Services & Amenities

Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport is fully physically-accessible for travellers with disabilities.

Disabled parking is available:

• ExpressParc (3 parking spaces in domestic zone; 6 in international)
• ProxiParc, Levels 1 and 2 (8 parking spaces in domestic zone; 8 in international)
• For passengers requiring weekly parking, the ProxiParc parking lot is available at the same weekly rate as the EconoParc, however you must pay the full rate and request reimbursement for the difference.

For those with reduced mobility:

• Terminal entrances on the arrivals level are equipped with oversized revolving doors with slow-motion buttons.
• There are access ramps, elevators and moving sidewalks available to facilitate movement inside the terminal.
• Information counters, check-in counters, self-service check-in kiosks, water fountains, washrooms, public pay telephones, automated teller machines (ATMs), shops, bars and VIP lounges are accessible to wheelchair users.
• Separate line at each pre-boarding screening checkpoint is reserved for people with limited mobility accompanied by an airline passenger agent.
• Separate line for use by people with limited mobility in the Canada Customs hall (near the line for airline crews).
• Adapted taxis are available between 07:00 and 02:00 upon request to the dispatcher upon your arrival (outside these hours, contact your airline).

For the hearing disabled:

• TTY telephones are available at every bank of public telephones (TTY users can dial 7-1-1 for directory assistance).
• All pay telephones are equipped with an adjustable volume control and a flux coil to assist hearing-aid users.
• Visual fire alarms (strobes) are located in public areas.

For the visually disabled:

• Signs are large and brightly coloured.
• Braille signs are located at entrances to all public washrooms.
• All elevators, escalators and moving sidewalks are equipped with braille signage.
• Elevators are also equipped with audible synthesized voice “floor callers” or acoustic signals that indicate floors.
• A “rest area” for guide dogs for the visually impaired is located near the west tower of the ExpressParc.

Remember to inform your airline of your requirements well in advance of your scheduled departure (most airlines suggest 48 hours). It is always advisable for disabled travellers to inquire about any special requirements prior to arriving at the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport.
