XYD Lyon Part-Dieu Train Station Info & Guide

Lyon Part-Dieu

Where is Lyon Part-Dieu Train Station?

Lyon Part-Dieu Train Station (YXD), or Gare de la Part-Dieu, is the primary railway station in Lyon, France.

Lyon Part-Dieu is a significant railway hub, connected to the French (SNCF) and international rail networks. From the many lines that run through Lyon, Part-Dieu is directly connected to Paris, Marseille, Valence, Saint-Étienne, Nice, Perpignan, Rouen, Roissy, Lille, Brussels, Geneva, Metz, Strasbourg, Tarbes, Bayonne, Nantes, Grenoble, Bordeaux, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and London. The station is served by France's high-speed rail service, TGV, in addition to Intercity and regional TER trains.

Part-Dieu also has connections to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) by TGV and has been assigned the "XYD" airport code, the SNCF is proposing connection services to CDG under code sharing agreement with many airlines.

Lyon Part-Dieu has direct access to the Lyon Metro (line B) and tramways T1, T3, and T4.

Lyon Part-Dieu Train Station is connected to Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport (LYS) via Rhônexpress tram service (platform located near the tram T3 platform). Note that while there is a train station at the airport, Lyon Saint-Exupéry Train Station (XYV), it does not serve the city.

While Part-Dieu is routinely the busiest, five other stations operate in Lyon: Lyon Perrache Train Station (XYL) (in the city centre), Lyon-Vaise Train Station, Lyon Saint-Pau Train Station, Lyon Gorge de Loup Train Station and Lyon Jean Macé Train Station.
