Port Louis Airport's new passenger terminal, opened in 2013, is designed after the "Traveller's palm", a tropical plant that grows on Mauritius. The environmentally-friendly stricture uses solar energy collected by photovoltaic cells, recovers rain water, and integrates nature into the heart of the building - have a look around to see what you can notice.

Services at Port Louis Airport include:

• Nénuphar Lounge (fee) - opposite gate 19
• Bag wrapping - International Check-in Halls A and B, near gates 13 and 16
• Florist - International Check-in Hall, Level 1, oppsite gate 15
• Post office - right wing of terminal, Arrivals, Level 0, near gate 3 (Mon-Sat)
• Stamps - at the Post Office or in the Bookcourt Shop (boarding area, near gate 28)
• Letter boxes - before and after immigration Prayer room - Departures Hall, after immigration, behind Hugo Boss
• Tip: there is no luggage storage at the airport
