Baku Airport (GYD) Taxi Service

Baku Airport taxi service is available directly outside the terminal.

Official taxis are white, with green logos on the side.

Taxis don't have meters so you must negotiate in advance. Expect to pay about AZN 35-50 into the city, depending on your negotiating skills (higher at night).

Departing the terminal, your driver should stop at the little kiosk by the airport exit to get you a signed invoice stating the agreed price - it's worth asking your driver to stop, just in case.

Tip: For AZN 5 you can take a cab from the airport to Metro Koroglu station (formerly Azizbeyov), which is 4-6 metro stops stations to Baku city centre (06:00-midnight).

You may be able to negotiate a lower fare if you seek out a cabbies at the far end of the parking lot (walk out of the terminal, then walk past the taxi stand).

For the lowest price, you can get an unmarked taxi (probably an old Lada) to the city centre for about AZN 15.

It is a common trick to ask for much more on arrival to your destination. Don't let the cab driver renegotiate the price. You are not obligated to pay what they demand.
