New Jersey Transit operates a number of  Newark Airport bus routes, many of which connect with buses into New York City. We have selected what we believe to be the route with the simplest connection and most direct route.

From Newark Airport to Manhattan via Bus no 37 /177

• You can begin this bus journey from Newark Airport Terminal A, B or C.
• Board Bus no 37 (toward IVY HILL)
• Disembark at Elizabeth Ave at Meeker Ave (about 8 minutes)
• TRANSFER to Bus no 107 (toward New York)
• Disembark at the Port Authority Bus Terminal (8th Avenue & 41st Street in Manhattan) (about 47 minutes)
• Note: the Port Authority Bus Terminal is subject to 20 minute delays due to congestion
• Allow between 90 and 120 minutes in total, allowing for schedules, connections and traffic delays
• There is no transfer fee for this route
