Regular Zia Dhaka Airport taxis charge around BDT 400 from the DAC Zia International Airport to the city and a little less to return, travel time takes around 30 minutes. There is a pre-paid Zia Dhaka Airport taxi booth in the Arrivals area. If they are not using this service, then fares should always be agreed upon before setting off. Drivers are required by law to have an operating meter, but they are notorious for not using them.

Zia Dhaka Airport taxi services are provided by both Yellow cabs and Rent-a-Car. We advisable to hire Zia Dhaka Airport cabs from authorized counters at the exit gate of Arrival area.

Unofficial Zia Airport Taxi Service or Hire Points

Autorickshaws or Baby taxis are not permitted to pick up passengers at the Zia Dhaka Airport, but they candrop you off. On the Airport Road nearest to the Zia Dhaka Airport, they can be picked up for trips to the city. Fares are around BDT 70-100, but expect much negotiating. Drivers are required to have a functioning meter, and police take a dim view of drivers who break this rule.
