Shanghai Pudong Airport taxi services can be hired outside the Arrivals Hall of both terminals on the first floor. Pudong Airport taxi ranks are separated according to the destinations which they travel to.

 

Note that rates increase by around 35% during night time, so expect to pay more between 23:00-05:00.

 

For the taxi from Pudong Airport, the driver should use the meter, however, if it is not working, agree on the fare before leaving the airport. If the driver is unwilling to comply, feel free to change taxis.

 

It is best to have your destination required written in Chinese or indicated on a map to avoid confusion or problems.
